MISSION MIRACLE

A few weeks ago, one of our brand new missionaries on her 3rd day in the field entered a convenience store with her companion to purchase gas.  After completing the transaction, she said to the cashier.  "Do you believe in God?"  The cashier responded, "Yes...I do."  Our sweet missionary followed up with, "Do you know that He loves you?"
The cashier responded, "No, I don't -- If he loved me, he would not have allowed my husband to take his life."  Our sweet missionary responded "I am so sorry for your loss,  I want you to know that God loves you and knows you and is so sad that you have to go through this hard time.  He wants to help you and that is why he has sent us to this gas station tonight.  Will you allow us to come and teach you more about his plan of happiness?
The cashier started to cry.  "I would love to know more."  The sisters gave her a Book of Mormon and invited her to read Alma 42 and arrange a time to meet and teach her.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ provides a message of love and of hope.  It testifies that God does have a plan for each of us.  Our Savior is central to the plan of happiness and His atonement has provided all of us a way to receive peace and happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.
