JUST LOOK AROUND - THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY TO SERVE EVERYDAY

Dec 26
Just a simple testimony of Jesus Christ at a discussion with Vern is an act of service to our Savior.
Dec 27
one of our recent converts called me crying and very emotional -- just needed someone to talk too.  Her furnace was broken and not fixed and they have been cold for a week now.  Her car broke down - brakes needed fixed.  The water company called and told her unless she paid her bill by Friday, they would turn her water off and she has NO food in the home to feed her and her children.  She spent all her money on Christmas and won't be paid until next week.  This just brought back soooo many memories to me of a struggling single mom who works hard and sometimes everything happens all at once.  There wasn't alot I could do but listen, encourage, spread love and understand and give some advice and suggest calling the bishop for help.  BUT, I could take her food and that is exactly what I did!!!!  I emptied out my cupboards and freezer as much as I could and headed to her with a bunch of food.  What I took her should feed her family for 4-5 days.  I was happy and felt so grateful that I could do for someone something that was done for me many times.  She was so grateful and as I was leaving her home, the bishop was arriving.

I pulled into my parking space at the complex and Mary Ann who is 83 was trying to lift recliner into the back of a truck. Somehow she had already loaded a couch by herself.  But the recliner was more awkward.  She was soooooo happy and gave me a big hug -- when I jumped out of my car and helped her. Just a tiny act of service.

I went over to Ler Htoo's home tonight to visit and take the Elders a package that arrived at the office today. They were there teaching the boys.  ______ told me that it was her mother's birthday on Sunday and she wished that she could get her mom some boots -- she wished that she had $20 so that she could buy them.  This will be my project of service tomorrow.  I received $20 in the mail with a christmas card and I can put alittle with it and get Ler Htoo some boots.  Her feet are always so cold at work - she needs boots.
