He died October Conference weekend
Not an October General Conference will pass without my thoughts being with my sweet father. He loved general conference and taught us the same. When we were young and still at home he would encourage us to plan that Saturday to be home and listening to conference. If he could get away from the feed mill, he would join us. Conference on Sundays in our home were treated like attending church. We were to wear our dresses and sit reverently -- it was a time to learn. To this day I still wear a dress on conference Sunday. So, how fitting it was for him to return to his Savior on a Conference weekend during a session. I know that he was met with loving arms and a rejoicing reunion for he was a man of honor, a man of great faith, a man full of compassion and love. I love my sweet parents - for they implanted in the hearts of their children the truthfulness of the gospel.

MLC Training on Friday -- that evening I fixed dinner for the Sisters Jordan and Draper - spent evening with them. Trail Center training Saturday morning, a baptism for McKenzie between sessions, four sessions of conference, plus took advantage and learned from the Priesthood session too. And visited with a lady here in the complex where I live. We will join with their church on a christmas project for 100 Karen children. Lots of excitement.

This is awesome Sherrie. You are awesome. I especially loved your story about your father telling you to be kind, in the temple.
ReplyDeleteThose missionaries are so lucky! 'Bet they don't know how good they have it!
Did I meet Sister Youngberg while I was there, or is she from Bountiful? I know her from somewhere.
'Sure love you my friend!
