FOR THE BEAUTY OF THE EARTH

Believe in God, believe that he is that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the thing which the Lord can comprehend.
(Mosiah 4:9)

Psalm 19:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies
proclaim the work of his hands.

"To truly reverence the Creator, we must appreciate His creations.  We need to take time to observe the marvels of nature. We can easily become surrounded by brick buildings and asphalt surfaces that shelter us from the real life around us. Share with your family the miracle of buds changing to fragrant blossoms. Take time to sit on a hillside and feel the tranquality of the evening when the sun casts its last golden glow over the horizon. Take time to smell the roses."   - M Russell Ballard

I am reminded of a primary song : ALL THINGS BRIGHT AND BEAUTIFUL, all creatures great and small, all things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all......The purple-headed mountain, The river running by, the sunset and the morning that brighten up the sky.  The cold wind in the winter, the pleasant summer sun, the ripe fruits in the garden -  He made them all.

I love the outdoors, my fondest memories with my family were spent outdoors --  our best vacations were at the seashores in California and Oregon. Going camping here and there, but especially Yellowpine.  Driving up the snow-packed roads and trailing through the snow to find our christmas tree, fishing, hiking, and water skiing on our beautiful lakes.  I loved sleeping outside in the backyard, going on outdoor trips in our little camper and red pickup truck.  The memories go on and on -- it is amazing to spend time outdoors, its rejuvenating, it's therapuetic, its showing gratitude to our Savior for this beautiful world.  I love all thing bright and beautiful and I have loved being in this beautiful state of Nebraska.  The beautiful fields of corn and the rolling hills of crops - it spreads peace and serenity to anyone who takes time to feel it.
