It's been a sad day in the office today-- our sweet missionary couple (Elder and Sister Nelson from So. Jordan) who are here to serve on the grounds of the temple and church buildings had sad news delivered to them last night.

SOUTH JORDAN — A South Jordan elementary school teacher and her 11-year-old daughter drowned in Bear Lake while saving a relative who was struggling in the water. Jennifer Lambourne, 37, and her daughter, Brooklyn Mae Lambourne, 11, died Wednesday during a family outing after going under the water in the Fish Haven area of the lake on the Idaho side of the border.

This is their daughter and granddaughter.  They were just here two weeks ago visiting with the the Nelsons.  It's an overwhelming feeling and hard to grasp as missionaries especially when all you think of is that your loved ones will be taken care of and protected while you serve missions. And yet, sometimes the Lord tries our faith and our willingness to go through hard things.  I hope and pray that they will fill his love and I hope they have the strength to return to us and finish their missions.
