The missionaries gave out more than 100 Book of Mormons, they taught "THE RESTORATION" hundreds of times -- we love them

I am so proud of these wonderful missionaries. Book of Mormon the musical was showing this last week in Omaha. We were there to answer questions before and after the shows. We taught the Message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ hundreds of times. Our copies of the Book of Mormon contained marked references to answer the Questions of the Soul. We know that there will be connections made with heaven as all those who accepted a copy seek answers from our loving Father in Heaven.     --- President Gardner

Some of our elders and sisters serving in or near downtown Omaha had an amazing experience this week! The Book of Mormon Musical was playing here in Omaha and they were able to stand outside the theater and visit with people as they entered and exited the theater. They told them they were the REAL missionaries and taught the restoration over and over again, answered questions, and shared their testimonies and a Book of Mormon with those who chose to listen. They had a wonderful time! One evening there was a torrential rain and they stood in the rain proclaiming the gospel and having the time of their lives! Helaman 5:12 came to my mind as they stood in the mighty storm committed to talk to all who would listen. In my heart of hearts, I know that these young people have built their foundation on their savior Jesus Christ and though the storms may come, they will have no power over them because of the foundation on which they are built and for which they are proud to stand and represent! What an incredible experience this was for Elder Garrett. In his email this past week he wrote, "One of the nights it rained big time. We didn't have any umbrella's or anything, President and Sister Gardner happened to be there as well, as the paparazzi, taking pictures of us in action. Super Cool! They told us to come to their car and dry off, but we just couldn't because we were ALL feeling SO good being out in that cold rain sharing what we love the most.....the gospel of Jesus Christ. As people ran past us with their umbrellas, we held out our soaked Mormon.org cards. We tried to keep them dry for the most part. Loved every second of it. The other nights it wasn't raining we were able to teach some people, and get a couple people's information to call or stop by later, so it was a success! It was a BLAST!!"

Dorene Sherman These Nebraska Omaha Mission missionaries were wonderful and positively impressed so many people with their pleasant demeanor and their teaching and offering the Book of Mormon in their spiritual and winning way. My granddaughter was at the Orpheum and she spoke very highly of them. What great missionaries!!
