SENIOR MISSIONARIES

Here I am --  me and some of the senior missionaries but I still need to get more pictures of the rest of the couples,  Only have these pictures of two of the couples and Sister Myler as of now.  This is me in front of the beautiful Winter Quarters Temple.  It is a beautiful temple and has an amazing spirit about it.  You can definately feel it as harrowed ground by those who lived here in the pioneer era.  It's an amazing place.  The second picture is Sis, Myler and I.  She came out the same time as I did and is the mission nurse.  She is from Minnesota and will be for one year - will go home Sept. 2016.  (I don't understand this blog - and need to figure out how I can type by the pictures.  The third picture is Elder and Sister Hansen from So, Utah - they are here until July 2016 and are such a fun couple.  She is in charge of the housing and he is in car of the cars in the mission.  Both are very busy and important assignments and to watch them keeps me overwhelmed.  The last couple are the Davies from St. George.  They work on the grounds and church buildings.  Do all the landscaping, planting, etc and maintaince in the buildings -- very busy work.

Mu Naw's family and Baptism

Mu Naw's mom and dad and her 11 year old sister were baptized in October.  I will get their names to add her __________________________, 11 year old sister is Paw Mu.  It was a beautiful baptism.  Aw Taw gave the talk on baptism in their Karen language and Elder Moe Zaw interpreted it in English for us,  And they he switched for the talk on the Holy Ghost.  He is Karen and is such a blessing to this area and these people.  He is from Salt Lake and attends the Karen Branch.  MuNaw and her two young brothers are already members.  They still have an older brother and sister and a 9 year old sister who need baptism.  The second picture is ________________ MuNaw's mom.  She is adorable and although we can't speak to each other because of the language barrier, she knows that I love her.  She gave me this beautiful Karen outfit.  I love it and will always think of her when I wear it.  These Karen people are full of so much love and want to learn.  It's so easy to love them and to feel their love.  I feel so grateful.

Karen girls

These are pictures of only part of the Karen girls that I know. I need to get more complete pictures so that I have them. The first picture is taken the first Sunday that I attended their ward and they were very shy around me.  Now we are all buddies and I love them.  I will type the names of the girls in the second picture since I have the list.  This goes left to right:  Thaw Par, Sye Meh, Eh Lar Par, Mu Naw and Bue Tha Ya Htoo. This girls are adorable and want to learn - and even though many of them aren't members of the church yet, they want to be - but are waiting permission from their parents.  I have been asked to be a Young Women's advisor -  it's exciting.  And they are eager to help learn their language.  I love them and write more.0

Morie Naw and Aw Taw and their family

This is the other family we are teaching the Temple Prep Classes to.  I will need to get a better picture of them and how to spell their names and will include that later.  This cute couple was also married in the Thailand Refugee Camp.  She was only 14 when she got married, he is ten years older than her.  They are far away from their families and she needs a mom close by so bad,she is still very young and clings to our friendship.  They are very poor and struggle alot.  But through it all they had testimonies of the gospel and want to get the temple with their little family. They have lived in Twin Falls Idaho, then Arkansas and now here in Omaha.  He struggle with getting work and I feel so bad.  But I always see them happy and positive. So I know that they feel the Saviors love and I will continue to be by their side and help where I can with friendship and encouragement.

Teemoo Paw and her family

It's December 28th and I haven't written anything on this blog since the first of November and that makes me sad -- I will try to write a few things that have happened -- there is sooooo much.  I need to better at taking care of this blog as well as my journal.  I will put alot of photos and talk about them after.

These two pictures are of a wonderful Karen family that
Sis Myler and I are teaching the Temple Preparation classes to.
ThauVar and Teemoo Paw and their four children.  I will come back add their names and hopefully get a picture of the whole family.  The two older boys are in school when we go teach.  This cute couple was married in the Thailand Refugee Camp and then migrated to the United States.  They lived in Salt Lake for four years before coming to Omaha.  It was in Salt Lake where they were baptized and attended the Karen Branch in Salt Lake.  They are special.  The father ______ loves the gospel, well actually they both do, but he has a special love for the priesthood that he holds and they are so eager to learn and have such a big desire to go to the temple.  I can't wait until we go to the temple with them.  It is such an honor to be the ones called upon to teach them.  It is fun to see their excitement when we come and they love to feed us.  I love them so much already.  I am writing this in December because I haven't kept up my blog.  We finished temple prep classes the middle of November.Their goal was to go to the temple and receive their endowments and have their family sealed to them in December.  But the Bishop of the ward and the Temple President are still trying to find a female interpretor that can accompany Teemoo through the temple. They seem alittle discouraged about it and I know that I am also.  We need to exercise more faith to find a solution.   I LOVE THEM SOOO MUCH
